Jon is our Preaching Minister here at the Hamby Church of Christ in which he has served for 12 years. He also works as a part-time Chaplain at Hendrick Medical Center, in which he has served for three years.  He also serves as an Adjunct Professor for Abilene Christian University-Dallas in their Conflict Resolution program.  In addition to all of that, he works as a substitute teacher for Abilene Christian School, in which he has helped out in various roles since 2007.  

Jon received his BA in Liberal Arts from Lubbock Christian University in 1991, a Certificate of Graduation from the Center for Christian Education in 1994, a MA in Religion from Abilene Christian University in 2007, and a Ph.D. in Conflict Analysis & Resolution from Nova Southeastern University in 2016.

Jon and his wife Cheryl have been married for 25 years.   Cheryl teaches in the Math Department at Abilene Christian University and teaches Sunday Morning Bible Class to our young children here at Hamby.  They have three sons, JD, who is a Senior at ACU, Trevor, who is a Senior at ACS, and Carson, who is a Freshman at ACS.
